Macho Mexican Restaurant

We just moved to Winnie in November been eating here many times. The food is good queso pretty Spicy Waitstaff good...atmosphere cold... I placed my first to go order last night... I was very disappointed because they don’t include chips and salsa.... you have to pay extra ..... that’s the first Tex-mex restaurant I have ever experienced no complimentary chips and salsa on to go orders... I have ate at many many different Tex -Mex restaurants and they ALL included chips and salsa complimentary on to go orders as well as dine in....

We love this place! The prices are very reasonable and the servive is friendly. And most of the time the food is great!!! We order to go from here atleast once every couple of weeks and always get alot and the orders are always right and on point.

Very tasty veggie enchiladas and a giant iced tea. Great place to stop when on the road!

Great food, great employees, I've tried just about everything on the menu and it's always good.

So delicious. There was not one complaint from any one of the people in my party. The salsa is smooth but spiced just right. I have to say that although the queso was delicious...it was spicy so the kids didn't eat much of it. The service was also superb. We had a very lovely dinner.

We stop here every visit to nearby High Island (for Spring's bird migration) except the once we came on a Sunday (not open). This year the food was as good as ever, but they must have been shorthanded - the empty tables were covered in dirty dishes, we werent given a menu for 10 minutes (the second one arrived 5 minutes later). Fortunately they got the table next to us cleaned off just as our food arrived. 4 stars for good history and current food, -1 for the poor service and dirty atmosphere this visit.

Food is so good! I live close by and always like to go here. Enviroment is comfy. And overall a great place to eat and enjoy time with friends/family. Only thing that upsets me is I love guacamole and you pay like 5 to 7 dollars for little scoops of it here. I know you used to get way more then now. But other than that I would suggest eating here.

Stopped in for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon. Found the facility to be clean and the service friendly. Food was delicious. Ordered the Macho's Plate and was almost embarrassed by the amount of food that was brought to the table for just me. Would not hesitate to return.

The building itself was very dreary and boring. The bathroom had one stall and was very unuseful. But the food was okay!

It was really busy, so our food took forever to come out, but let me tell you, it was worth it once it did. Absolutely delicious. What a great little place. Will definitely come back next time we're out that way.
